Currently, Vital Wave is supporting the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) in Zimbabwe to enhance and scale its locally developed electronic health record system. The firm’s approach in Zimbabwe is to provide tools, trainings, and direct assistance to the MoHCC to ensure the long-term sustainability of this system as it scales. This will be achieved through a focus on improved software quality, interoperability with national and global HIS, and the establishment of successful governance and operating structures that can be documented and shared globally. Ultimately, this project will result in the sustainable expansion of a country-owned system that meets national and international data needs.
