Vital Wave worked with a multilateral development bank to inform investments in supply chain, patient tracking, and health worker registry systems to support COVID-vaccine rollout campaigns on a country-by-country basis. Five country-specific assessments were developed to understand the readiness of Burkina Faso, Chad, Republic of Congo, Niger, and Sierra Leone to implement COVID-vaccine distribution. Vital Wave conducted primary research at the country-level and analyzed health system capacity needs at the point of service delivery to support COVID-vaccine distribution, including information systems for monitoring effective vaccine delivery, patient tracking, and reliable health workforce data. A broader multi-country archetyping of human resource information systems was also developed based on secondary research.
