Global Technology for Malaria Elimination

In partnership with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), Vital Wave has worked to identify and update existing mobile tools, and develop new mobile tools where needed, to address gaps in the current landscape for malaria elimination. Through a process of collaboration, representatives from selected mobile tool providers have designed and planned a software development roadmap to identify appropriate solutions that can meet programs’ needs, and subsequently develop and field test the tools through iterative sprints. These mobile tools have been integrated into the strengthened DHIS2 system, so countries can have a comprehensive malaria information system available to facilitate data collection, reporting, analysis, and response. This process and tools have been implemented in over a dozen countries across Africa and South Asia.
