“Path to Market” Strategy for a Consumer Clean Energy Device

Vital Wave developed a multi-phased global strategy and plan to launch a consumer clean energy device (generator and lighting solution) in developed and developing countries. The project included country segmentation, target market identification, usage scenario evaluation (including mobile phone charging), concept testing, business modeling, price sensitivity testing, distribution system design and partnership recommendations, and financial forecasting. In-depth consumer research – including ethnographic interviews and product concept testing – was performed with subjects in Kenya and Brazil. Vital Wave assessed the client’s current and past channel strategies and local market dynamics to create a go-to-market plan, including the identification of local retail partners, to drive short- and long-term sales. The project resulted in client implementation of the program to achieve revenue growth, greater operational efficiency, and channel program effectiveness.
