Vital Wave was founded in 2005 when a small group of business managers from Hewlett-Packard’s Emerging Market Solutions group saw an opportunity to provide research, advisory services, and implementation support to other technology companies. Today, the company works with corporations, development organizations, and governments to scale technology solutions for health, financial services, education, agriculture, and the environment.
Vital Wave brings to each engagement a unique combination of emerging-market focus, technology expertise, and business rigor. Clients and partners work with Vital Wave to understand specific industries and set appropriate strategies, implement and manage programs, and institutionalize programs within a broader national and regional ecosystem.
Vital Wave consultants have years of practical experience in all facets of ICT-for-Development, from strategy development through implementation.
Clients engage Vital Wave at all stages of a project lifecycle, from planning to measurement and evaluation. Clients and partners include all stakeholders in the ICT4D landscape, including foundations, international development organizations, technology and pharmaceutical companies, and governments.
Vital Wave’s work has been covered by the Economist, the New York Times, the Huffington Post, and others.
